TECH NOTES
Sukhoi Su-27

B7B-2

During the construction of the Su-35/Su-37 Conversion Kit we discovered an error in the size of the inlet duct holes in B7B-2.

While this error can be corrected when fitting the inlet ducts to the model, it's easier to enlarge the holes before begining construction.

This document contains information about how to correct this error in the Su-27 kit.

Elevon Mount

We discovered that a recent batch of aluminum pivot bearing tubes were longer than what is called for in the kit.

This document contains information about how to cut the pivot bearing tubes if the tubes supplied with your kit are too long.

Cockpit Hatch

During the construction of the Su-35/Su-37 Conversion Kit we discovered an error in the shape of the cockpit hatch and cockpit hatch rails.

This error occured because of an earlier change to the size of bulkhead B2T/B2B. When the size of the bulkhead was reduced, the cockpit hatch railes should have been updated to match the new cross-section.

This tech note contains full-size drawings that can be printed and used as templates to cut a new cockpit hatch and cockpit hatch rails. The cockpit hatch and cockpit hatch rails that came with the Sukhoi Su-27 kit should be discarded as they will not fit correctly.

NOTE: If you already purchased a Su-27 kit and you haven't yet built it, contact Savage Light Industries and we'll mail a corrected laser cut sheet to you at no charge.
